This podcast, hosted by Shanequa E. Moore, elevates local voices through open conversations with leaders, educators, policymakers, political leaders, religious leaders, rising leaders, and law enforcement to shed light on issues that communities in Atlanta, Georgia face. It addresses topics, such as leadership, business, mental health, parenting, poverty, race, civic engagement, justice, social work, and more. Since 2013, Shanequa’s nonprofit, I’RAISE Girls & Boys International, has been on the ground transforming the way children & families of color are seen, heard, and treated. From pain to triumph, we seek to capture the “behind the scenes” experiences of ATL community members and collectively re-imagine an Atlanta community that represents a place of equity, power, and prominence for Black children and families.

Lamekkiona encourages women to take off the masks, peel back the layers, and be their authentic selves. Lamekkiona inspires us in this episode to start the healing process and never stop. Jacqueline shares her pain and struggles as a mother raising six children including three Black males in today's world. Shanequa and Jacqueline recall the George Floyd murder and the pain and trauma felt by every Black mother when hearing the cries of George Floyd for his mother on national television. Jacqueline talks about the fear of raising Black males in today's world.
 
Tips and advice from a genuine place is given to every listener on how to build a closer and deeper bond with their children. In this episode, Jacqueline encourages moms to be humble and to apologize when they have hurt their children. “It is never too late to restore your relationship with your children,” Shanequa admonishes to every parent. In this episode, Shanequa Moore chats with former legislator, Alisha Searcy, who made history and was first elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in 2002, becoming the first African-American to be elected from a district solely in Cobb County.
Alisha was able to radically change the fate of thousands of girls in her time as executive director of Ivy Preparatory Academies within one year where she saw attendance rates turn around and teacher retention skyrocket. Alisha shares her passion to reimagine the Georgia school system and discusses her vision for a school system built on the success of students and teachers, one that works with our youth and teachers to be innovative and teach. 
Alisha tells of her struggles along the way and encourages schools, administrators and legislators to unite, be innovative and burn the ships!
