Ep. 19: 8 Year Old Adopted Entrepreneur

Meet 8-year-old Skylar Renee. She is one of I’RAISE’s entrepreneurial kids, a bright, intelligent and talented young girl who has already accomplished so much in such little time. She shares wisdom for everyone that's worth hearing in this episode, from self-care to self-confidence to growing up.

About Skylar:

After spending almost a year in the foster care system after her father passed away, Skylar was then adopted by her paternal grandmother. Spending her earlier years in California, she is now continuing her amazing journey in Georgia where her achievements have been nothing short of amazing. Skylar is a talented dancer that has been named the youngest dance apprentice by Thomas Academy, a talented actor, being currently nominated for the Rising Star Award for her role as Pinky in the film Prevailing Love written by Kimberly DeWitt and was even the youngest announcer with the Little Miss African American pageant in Los Angeles California. She is now building her own non-profit organization that provides a fun bag for children in the Foster Care system or newly adopted children that include essentials and keepsakes that will help them feel closer to home and remind them that they are valuable and loved.
